Meet the Hosts
-
Greg Surratt is the founding pastor of Seacoast Church, which he planted with a small group of like-minded people in 1988. Together, they made 16,000 phone calls to people in the area to better understand what they look for in a church.Today, Seacoast has a dozen campuses throughout South Carolina and North Carolina, as well as a thriving online community.
Over the past several years, Greg has grown increasingly concerned with the mental health of pastors, with studies showing as many as 42% of them are in various stages of burnout. In 2018, Greg founded The Pastors Collective to address this growing crisis, and opened The Retreat at Church Creek in 2021 to provide a refuge for pastors to rest and make lasting connections with others.
Greg is a co-founder of the Association of Related Churches (ARC), which is a global church-planting initiative that has established over 1,000 churches worldwide since its founding in 2000. He is the author of the books IR-REV-REND, Re-visioning, and The Endurance Factor, as well as a contributor to various podcasts and magazines.
Greg is married to his childhood sweetheart, Debbie, and together they have four children and fourteen grandchildren. He enjoys photography, fishing, golfing, and rooting for the Cubs, Broncos, and Gamecocks
